We are recruiting an Environmental Health and Safety Lead to join our client, a growing pharmaceutical manufacturer in Carlow. As a key member of the EHS team, you will provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with local legislation, standards, and industry best practices.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide technical guidance to the organization to ensure compliance with legal requirements related to EHS as well as the company's corporate standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines related to EHS and industry best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist operational departments in achieving and establishing compliance.
  • Prepare reports to site, divisional and/or corporate management and regulatory agencies.

The ideal candidate will bring EHS experience in the Biologics/Pharmaceutical industry, but experience in other highly regulated industries will also be considered.

Requirements
  • Technical bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety or Science/Engineering qualification.
  • A Post-grad EHS qualification would be a plus.
  • 3+ years' EHS experience in Pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industry.
