Overview

The role involves identifying new application opportunities and conceptualizing innovative solutions for European and global markets. Key responsibilities include selecting, specifying, and selling the company's products and solutions.

Qualifications
  • A third-level degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • 1-3 years of engineering experience are necessary.
  • Strong Application Engineering skills with a proven track record of problem-solving and collaboration are essential.
  • Proficiency in Solid Modelling software (Pro/E preferred) and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with engineering tools such as SPC is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Business software (ERP systems, JDE preferred) is advantageous.
  • Finite Element Analysis is desirable.
  • The ability to use laboratory testing tools as required is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to interpret and communicate data accurately.
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications is required.
  • Flexibility in schedule to allow for travel is necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing, or improving fastening solutions for new and existing customers is a key responsibility.
  • Supporting sales activities for key customers with technical calls and visits as required is essential.
  • Coordinating testing required for prototypes, pilot production, and final customer acceptance is a critical task.
  • Coordinating development activities within the business, including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Installation equipment departments, is necessary.
  • Generating manufacturing costs and submitting them to the pricing coordinator is a key responsibility.
  • Providing technical support to customers/distributors and Regional Sales Managers is essential.
  • Coordinating, planning, and conducting training with new and key distributors and customers is a critical task.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with all business levels and support functions, including management, is essential.
  • Providing in-house training in Application Engineering and product/solution offerings is a key responsibility.
  • Traveling to promote Application Engineering and product development offerings, including new product releases to external customers, is necessary.
  • Visiting customers and authorized distributors as required is essential.
  • Undertaking research to support the learning of new processes, products, and technologies is necessary.
