Automation Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Systems Engineer specializing in DeltaV. With a strong background in the pharmaceutical sector and over 3 years of experience, you will play a key role in shaping the future of automation.

About the Role:
  • This position reports to the Digital MMD Project Lead and is specifically responsible for DeltaV Systems.
  • You will work closely with the Digital MMD teams responsible for the full Automation and IT scope, as well as vendors/partners responsible for the delivery of DeltaV DCS.
Main Responsibilities:
  • You will write user requirements for DeltaV System.
  • You will review and approve related design documentation.
  • You will partner with local site project teams to scope changes on the DeltaV system.
  • You will follow the SDLC procedure to implement changes, including RS updates, RTM change control, implementation, and testing.
  • You will educate local project teams on automation standards related to technology selection, system configuration, SDLC, validation, hardware, software environments, and business processes.
  • You will partner with internal Digital departments to ensure standard and secure implementation in line with MSD Standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field.
  • Training completed in DeltaV standard and batch.
  • Over 3 years of experience in DeltaV application.
  • Proven record of proficiency in business analysis on small-sized projects.
  • Excellent understanding of cGMPs, SDLC methodologies, and LEAN/MPS/Sigma principles.
  • Excellent facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technological solutions.
  • Experience in the commissioning of DeltaV systems at a GMP manufacturing site.
Key Qualifications:
  • Certification in DeltaV standard and batch.
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies and systems.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
