The role of an Operational Risk Specialist is crucial in providing cover for a 12-month period. As the Designated Person PCF39B for Operational Risk Management on behalf of Northern Trust Fund Managers Ireland Limited, you will act as the expert on all operational risk considerations for the entity.

  • Day-to-day oversight of operational risk processes, including business resilience.
  • Performing the DP for Operational Risk Management role.
  • Reporting to Boards and regulators.
  • Ownership of Risk Management Framework document.
  • Monitoring and assessment of risk appetite.
  • Working with other Designated Persons across the entity.
  • Support of global non-financial risk processes.
  • Participation in cross-functional committees supporting ongoing governance and strategic developments.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in an asset management risk role or operational risk role in a regulated business.
  • Detailed knowledge of asset management businesses, especially EU/UK regulated entities.
  • Suitable qualifications and experience that directly support the expectations of the PCF39B role (DP for Operational Risk Management).
  • Experience with regulatory communication and expectations, as well as knowledge of relevant CBI, ESMA and UCITS regulations.
  • A compelling written and verbal communicator, with the ability to adjust communication style to audience need when explaining complex situations.
  • A global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences.
