Job Description

The Director, Engineering is responsible for leading the ownership program of our Prime Platform, a key component of our Data Supply Chain. As the leader of this program, you will work with various product and business teams to understand their needs and propose appropriate cloud-based architecture/design for implementation.

You will be responsible for developing and executing project plans and timelines, managing budgets with our cloud providers, and collaborating with internal and external partners. Your experience in project planning from inception to full SDLC will be invaluable in driving automation and ensuring high availability, resiliency, and operational insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive core engineering excellence in our Big Data Prime and GTS platforms.
  • Develop and execute project plans and timelines.
  • Manage budgets with our cloud providers.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their needs.
  • IDentify areas for growth with a focus on software development testing and automation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with Java, Scala, and Big Data platform design and development preferable.
  • Strong understanding of AWS and/or GCP cloud technologies.
  • Technical knowledge of Big Data Stacks with a focus on Spark/Hadoop/Scala and Java and orchestration systems such as airflow preferable.
