Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a senior pharmacy professional to lead our dispensary in Kilkenny.

The main duties of this role include:

  1. To manage the dispensary operations in accordance with all legal responsibilities pertaining to the profession of pharmacy.
  2. To exercise all aspects of law, ethics and codes of practice as laid down by the relevant regulatory bodies.
  3. To provide a safe and efficient dispensing service to all customers in accordance with established pharmacy guidelines.
  4. To ensure the safe and effective delivery of medicines to all customers.
  5. To collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  6. Active management of monthly submissions to payment boards.
  7. Pro-active management and follow-up of claims rejected by payment boards.
  8. To build and maintain relationships with local doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  9. To identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive engagement with nursing homes and other relevant institutions.
  10. Other projects and duties as they arise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar pharmacy role.
  2. Holding a PSI-approved Pharmacy Qualification and registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
  3. Ability to manage high-volume dispensing operations efficiently.
