3. Develop comprehensive bills of quantities from drawings or tenders using Cubit software.
4. Price and forecast the cost of materials needed for projects.
5. Track changes to project designs and construction work, adjusting budget projections accordingly.
6. Procure services of contractors and subcontractors, negotiate rates, and manage accounts.
7. Measure and value work done on site accurately.
8. Prepare and submit interim and final valuations with client representatives.
9. Ensure understanding and adherence to contract obligations by all stakeholders.
10. Negotiate effectively with clients and suppliers.
11. Possess good working knowledge of MS Excel and ability to learn specialist software.
12. Produce detailed reports for senior management.
13. Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
14. Demonstrate attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
15. Provide commercial and contractual advice to senior management.
16. Liaise with other departments to implement controls during contract progression.
17. Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and project managers.

Ideal Candidate

1. Relevant experience working as a QS and degree-level qualification required.
2. Minimum five years' experience in construction in a similar role.
3. Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
4. Excellent communication skills to build sound business relationships with stakeholders.
5. Good work ethic and forward-thinking attitude.
6. Commercial and contractual awareness.
