Job Overview:

The IT Risk Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Technology function, providing oversight and governance of technology risks and controls.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage the firm's IT risk management framework in alignment with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Develop and deliver regular risk reports for core IT processes, including group-wide KPI and KRI metrics.
  • Maintain Technology policies and oversee changes through relevant governance bodies, ensuring compliance with Group standards.
  • Prepare and support the Technology Risk Forum, contributing to regional Risk Committees.
  • Manage the risk register (Riskonnect), including controls, attestations, assurance, issue-action tracking, and event management.
  • Oversee control development, attestation, remediation plans, and assurance programmes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop tools demonstrating controls oversight within the first line of defence.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation, remediation, validation, and management response.
Key Qualifications:
  • Strong background in IT Risk & Controls, preferably in an Operational Risk environment.
  • Proven track record in Risk Management, Lines of Defence, or IT functions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, accountable approach with the ability to work under pressure.
