We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced dog groomer to join our team at Maxi Zoo. As a full-time Qualified Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pet care services to our customers. This includes consulting with pet owners to understand their preferences and concerns, providing expert advice on dog grooming and product recommendations, and building strong relationships with customers and their pets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. They will also have excellent communication skills, be fully flexible, and able to work across 5 days, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultation: Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their preferences and concerns, and provide expert advice on dog grooming and product recommendations.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers and their pets, remembering their preferences and any specific needs.
  • Follow-Up and Follow-Through: Ensure customer satisfaction by following up after appointments and addressing any feedback or concerns promptly.
  • Sanitisation and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for dogs and staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous hands-on experience in a grooming salon and/or QQI Level 6 Dog Grooming/City & Guilds qualification.
  • Proficient in all aspects of dog grooming and clipping.
  • A professional attitude and excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with customers.
  • Time management skills to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • A passion for animals and a genuine interest in animal care and well-being.
