Trader Associate Job Opportunity

We are currently partnering with a prestigious alternative investment manager on a trader search.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing liquid credit team, driving the business forward through trade execution and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade execution across Investment Grade, Leveraged Finance and Interest Rate products for various strategies across the business.
  • Generate trade ideas based on fundamentals/relative value/risk management and communicate effectively to internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate relevant market dynamics across the firm on an ongoing basis via emails and scheduled market update calls.
  • Manage and maintain pricing models that highlight opportunities in the market across all products.
  • Provide data for internal strategy meetings to drive better decision making during the investment process.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide information on trading levels, liquidity, flows and market technicals within each market.
  • Manage and maintain longstanding relationships with sell side counterparties.
  • Liaise with middle office on settlement issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working in front-office Financial Markets, preferably in Trading and Fixed Income.
  • Market facing / Sales Trading experience preferable.
  • Coding skills would be beneficial for data management purposes but not required.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills is necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Competitive nature with the drive to improve internal processes and raise the bar in a fast-growing business.
