Junior Kitchen Chef

Highly skilled and enthusiastic Commis Chefs are sought after to join our culinary team.

• Prepare ingredients ensuring freshness, high quality and proper portioning.
• Carry out basic cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces and cooking proteins under supervision of senior chefs.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Follow recipes and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely completion of orders and smooth operation of the kitchen.
• Assist in stock rotation and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and develop culinary skills through guidance and feedback from senior chefs.

• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
• Culinary school education or relevant vocational training is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
