Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a leading and most experienced civil & structural engineering consultancy with offices across Ireland.

The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative, high-quality engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, conservation, retail, residential, civil infrastructure and environmental.

You will be responsible for developing not only your technical skills but also your management and commercial skills.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining civil infrastructure drawings / details for site development, roads infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, public health infrastructure, etc.
  • Delivering project drawings to the required technical standards in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing and checking standards on project drawings by junior technicians.
  • Carrying out site inspections and attending Design Team meetings.
  • Preparing risk assessments, health & safety plans.
  • Effective communication skills to facilitate written and verbal interaction with colleagues, team members, contractors and clients.
  • Demonstrating efficient work practices, working within budget and ensuring the effective use of resources.
  • Developing the skills of staff that report to you through mentoring, delegation and training.
  • Ensuring that quality of output is maintained at a high level.
