Job Overview

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge clinical trial reporting tools utilizing open-source technologies within a GxP setting. As our Associate Director, Technology & Scientific Computing, you will drive innovation, lead a high-visibility team, and foster a culture of continuous evolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop technical products that empower clinical trial teams to design and analyze trials using open-source tooling.
  • Drive the agile development cycle, from gathering user requirements to production release, demos, training, and support.
  • Promote open-source culture by engaging with external communities, contributing new packages/features, and undertaking maintenance and support activities.

Requirements:
  • MSc in a quantitative/computational science (e.g., computer science, machine learning, statistics, physics, mathematics)
  • 5-10 years of experience in using open-source languages (primarily R) to develop tools for data analytics in an industry setting.
  • Strong interest in modern ways of working, including git, open-source languages, and applying data science principles in a GxP setting.

Desirable Skills:
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP) and computer system validation principles.
  • Experience as a statistical programmer or statistician.
  • Previous experience in collaborating on open-source projects within the pharmaceutical sector.
