This is a full-time role, working 27 hours per week on a term-time contract. The successful candidate will provide education, guidance, support, and care to children in a pre-school setting.

About the Role

The Access and Inclusion model promotes inclusive practice and offers all children an opportunity for meaningful participation. Determining how to allow a child to participate varies depending on the child's needs.

This is a strength-based model, not an SNA model; however, some children may require one-to-one care.

The role involves supporting and assisting in the provision of high-quality early childhood education in a holistic setting. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children to grow and learn.

  • Supporting children's development through play-based learning activities
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Providing individualized support to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Attending staff meetings and professional development sessions
Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in childcare or equivalent
  • An excellent understanding of child development and educational theory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

As an Early Years AIM Educator with the Daughters of Charity Community Services, you can expect:

  • A supportive and collaborative work environment
  • Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development
  • A chance to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families

Salary: €15.60 per hour
