Job Description

The IT Infrastructure Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the company's data centre infrastructure. This involves collaborating with a managed service provider to set up, configure, and maintain hardware and software components within the datacentre.

This role oversees the work performed by the managed service provider and manages operational aspects of their relationship. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing strong working relationships with the managed services provider to ensure seamless setup, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software components within the datacentre.
  • Overseeing the central components of the Microsoft IT Infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, available, performing optimally, and addressing any technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Directing managed service providers as they perform routine maintenance tasks and upgrades on central IT infrastructure, in line with security policies and controls.
  • Ensuring the datacentre and central IT Infrastructure complies with security standards and industry regulations, and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans as needed.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams and business stakeholders to support new initiatives and projects.
  • Participating in datacentre and central IT Infrastructure related incident management as required, liaising with service management, the managed service partner and application teams.
