Speech and Language Therapist Role

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment services to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.

This is a maternity leave contract position, and the successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role.

Job Objectives
  • To provide high-quality assessment and treatment services to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes for service users.
  • To contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures related to speech and language therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Liaising with other professionals such as behaviour specialists, psychologists, doctors and ear/nose/throat (ENT) specialists.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records.
  • Attending clinics and participating in relevant meetings, case conferences as appropriate.
Skills Requirement
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Experience working with adults with complex needs.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills / self-motivation / self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills.
  • Dedicated, reliable and flexible approach to work.
