Job Title: Process Safety Specialist
We are seeking a seasoned Process Safety Specialist to join our team. This role will involve providing technical expertise and guidance on process safety matters across various projects.
Responsibilities:- Lead and plan process safety activities during design stages of projects, managing process safety colleagues as needed.
- Act as process safety focal point for dealing with client representatives, equipment vendors, and multidiscipline engineering colleagues to obtain necessary information and resolve process safety issues.
- Prepare, chair, and report on Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) reviews, including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc.
- Independently complete and deliver process safety deliverables such as PHA reports, Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) - ATEX/DSEAR assessments, Explosion Protection Documents (EPDs), Seveso (COMAH) Documentation, Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) Consequence Modelling, and Process Safety Calculations.
- Bachelor's degree in Process/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer status with relevant institute or working towards chartered status is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years' relevant professional experience in a similar function, with over 12 years preferred, having good understanding of process safety and process design.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, interdisciplinary verbal and written communication skills are essential.
