Civil Engineer Position

Job Responsibilities

  • You will develop technical skills and management abilities as a Civil Technician.
  • As part of the team, you will create detailed drawings for site development, roads infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, public health infrastructure, etc.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring project drawings meet technical standards and are completed on time, with timely reporting to the project manager.
  • You will oversee and check junior technicians' work on project drawings.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience in creating 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D model designs in Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • You will also conduct site inspections and participate in Design Team meetings.
  • Your work will adhere to the company's ISO procedures.
  • You will prepare risk assessments and health & safety plans.
  • You must possess effective communication skills for written and verbal interactions with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
  • Efficient work practices, budget management, tracking extra services, and resource utilization are expected.
  • You will mentor staff and ensure quality output at a high level.
  • You will assist engineers in producing engineering drawings and schedules.

    Requirements

    • A Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
    • Knowledge and experience of AutoCad 2D & AutoDesk Civil 3D are essential.
    • Leadership skills to manage resources and solve complex problems in multidisciplinary teams are necessary.
    • A successful track record working closely with clients, contractors, and design teams is required.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
    • A commitment to CPD and competence is required.
