Job Summary

We are seeking a talented academic professional to join our department as an Assistant Lecturer in Human Geography.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, undertake teaching duties, and supervise research students.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in teaching, research, and publication, and be able to demonstrate their expertise in human geography or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate students;
  • Develop and deliver modules on human geography-related topics;
  • Contribute to the development of new programmes and courses;
  • Supervise research students and support their academic development;
  • Maintain a strong profile of research activity, including publication and dissemination of research outputs;

Requirements

  • PhD in human geography or a relevant discipline;
  • Strong academic record in teaching and research;
  • Demonstrable experience of teaching and assessing students at undergraduate and postgraduate level;
  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality research-led teaching;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
