We are seeking a Senior Site Engineer to join our delivery team on a high-profile healthcare development project in Waterford. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the technical and structural integrity of the build, coordinating site engineering functions, and supporting the delivery of the project to the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme.


About the Project

The project involves the construction of a new €26 million surgical hub in Waterford, requiring strong site engineering expertise and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. As a key member of the delivery team, you will be responsible for setting out and leveling the site in accordance with drawings and specifications, overseeing and reviewing subcontractor works, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with the design team to resolve technical issues on site.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set out and level the site in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Oversee and review subcontractor works, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, QA checklists, and as-builts
  • Liaise with the design team and resolve technical issues on site
  • Lead quality control, inspections, and material approvals
  • Monitor and support site safety practices in collaboration with the Health & Safety team

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • 5+ years experience in a site engineering role, preferably with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
  • Previous experience on large-scale healthcare, education, or commercial projects an advantage
  • Proficient in using engineering instruments, AutoCAD, and setting-out tools
  • Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
