Civil Design Engineer - Water Projects

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Galway City. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing contract specifications and drawings, conducting site inspections and surveys, and contributing to the project team on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contract Specification and Drawing Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed contract specifications and drawings for water projects.
  2. Surveying and Site Inspections: Conduct thorough site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  3. Preliminary Designs and Reports: Prepare and review preliminary designs and reports for water projects.
  4. Project Team Collaboration: Contribute to the project team on a daily basis to ensure smooth project delivery.
  5. Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Requirements
  1. Qualification: A level 8 qualification in civil engineering is essential.
  2. Experience: 3-8 years of experience in civil design engineering, preferably with Irish Water.
  3. Irish Planning System: Experience with the Irish planning system and dealing with local authorities is necessary.
  4. Civil Design Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications is desirable.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
