Consultant Radiologist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Radiologist to provide expert imaging services across various modalities, supporting diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management across multiple specialties.

  • You will interpret and report on a wide range of imaging studies, perform and supervise image-guided procedures, and provide timely and accurate diagnostic reports to support clinical decision-making.
  • Additionally, you will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, communicate findings effectively, and contribute to audit activities, peer review, and radiation safety initiatives.
  • You will also supervise and mentor radiology trainees, deliver formal teaching sessions, and contribute to continuous professional development of peers and colleagues.
  • Last but not least, you will participate in the radiology on-call rota, providing imaging interpretation and emergency procedures outside regular hours.
Key Requirements
  • Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the speciality of Radiology.
  • Or must be on or working towards Specialist Registration IMC - close to completion.
