Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Fire Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission fire detection and alarm systems to customer specifications.
- Maintain and service fire detection, suppression systems, emergency lighting and extinguishers according to agreed contracts.
- Provide regular activity reports to support strategic and operational planning.
- Close jobs accurately with relevant information for timely invoicing and certification.
- Ensure all client assets, vehicles, stock and equipment are accounted for and well maintained.
- Support sales teams in specifying customer needs through on-site expertise.
- Respond promptly to customer queries and resolve issues courteously.
- Attend to emergency activations and other service desk calls.
- Complete product training as necessary to maintain comprehensive knowledge of client products.
Requirements:
- A deep understanding of fire industry standards.
- Experience in standard and complex fire suppression systems.
- Ability to manage large projects from design to completion.
- Proven experience in commissioning complex projects.
- Extensive knowledge of conventional and analogue fire alarm systems.
- Experience working with major fire brands including air sampling systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full clean driving license essential.
- Electrical background advantageous.
