The Clinical Specialist Dietitian, Paediatrics, plays a vital role in the provision of dietetic care to children and young people with complex disabilities. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage the nutritional needs of children and young people with complex disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualised dietetic plans to meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of education and training programs for healthcare professionals.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance best practice in dietetics.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:A current CORU registration approved by the Dietitians Registration Board.A minimum of five years' post-qualification dietetic experience, with at least four consecutive years full-time in paediatric dietetics.Experience working with children with complex health needs.Knowledge of the assessment and treatment of complex feeding issues.Evidence of postgraduate continuing professional development relevant to a specialism within dietetics.Research and audit skills with a proven track record.Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to work with multidisciplinary team members.
