Job Overview:

To promote and maintain the highest attainable standard of nursing care within the facility, ensuring all staff perform their duties adequately. This role reports to and is responsible to the Director of Nursing.


Responsibilities:

  • Treat residents with dignity, privacy, and respect as individuals
  • Maintain professional standards in line with An Bord Altranais Code of Professional Conduct and have an understanding of An Bord Altranais documents and their implications for nursing practice
  • Ensure all Servisource policies are known and adhered to by all staff
  • Maintain clear, concise, and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation and Servisource standards
  • Adhere to agreed policies and procedures for the control, administration, and custody of all drugs and medicines
  • Have knowledge and awareness of HIQA standards and participate in inspection processes
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals regarding resident discharge to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active PIN issued by NMBI
  • Fluent English language skills (verbal and written) and eligibility to work in Ireland
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Caring and compassionate with a passion for delivering high-quality person-centred care
  • 1 Year relative experience
