We are Acrow Recruitment, a leading specialist in the construction industry. We have an exciting opportunity available for a Purchasing Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the procurement and purchasing operations. Although prior buying experience is beneficial, it is not essential. However, experience in an administration role is crucial, and familiarity with the construction sector would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality specifications.
  • Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including managing correspondence, filing documents, and organizing meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to purchasing activities.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in an administration role is essential.
  • Any buying experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience working in the construction sector would be advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
