English Language Teaching Opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified English language instructor to deliver lessons to adult learners at our Dublin-based centres. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English language instruction and the ability to create engaging learning experiences.

  • Create and deliver lesson plans that cater to the needs of adult learners, promoting their interest and confidence in learning English.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance student outcomes, working closely with colleagues to ensure integrated programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, student progress, and lesson observations, providing valuable insights for programme development.
Responsibilities
  • Teach 15-30 hours of English lessons per week, including morning and afternoon sessions, adhering to the framework syllabus and focusing on language skills and interactive language use.
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure seamless integration of programs and promote positive learning environments.
  • Collaborate with Centre Directors and Senior Teachers during lesson observations and evaluations, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
Requirements
  • A primary degree from a recognized third-level institution or university.
  • A recognized ESL/EFL qualification in English Language Teaching, approved by ACELS/QQI.
  • Previous experience working with adults is advantageous, as is a strong track record of delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork ability, and professional appearance are essential.
  • Garda Vetting may be required, in accordance with regulations governing the recognized language-school sector in Ireland.
