About the Role

As a skilled backend developer, you will play a pivotal part in designing and building scalable services and APIs that power core platform experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric solutions that drive seamless navigation, personalized preferences, and cohesive profile-based experiences across the ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Contribute to projects incorporating AI-powered insights and personalization.
  • Partner with frontend, design, product, and data science teams to validate, design, and develop ideas.
  • Identify friction points and contribute to experiments improving acquisition, onboarding, and retention.
  • Learn and apply best practices in backend development, testing, and performance.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • 2+ years of professional experience with Java, Kotlin, or another object-oriented language.
  • Capacity to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, communicate clearly, and share knowledge.
  • Enthusiasm for building well-engineered, reliable, and scalable microservices.
  • Driven by real-world customer impact.
  • Experience working in a team with Agile/Scrum methodology.

Bonus Skills

The following skills are highly valued but not required:
  • Professional experience in automated testing and E2E testing.
  • Experience with AWS technologies like DynamoDB and ECS.
  • Exposure to distributed systems, SaaS, SQL, and Apache Pulsar.
  • Experience working on a platform team.
  • Exposure to GraphQL.
