We are seeking highly skilled Hull Artificers to join our team in Ireland.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a challenging career path where you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and crewing ships while ensuring their operational readiness.

  • You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure the safety and maintenance of our fleet.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the repair, maintenance, and structural integrity of vessels' hulls, fittings, and associated systems.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you will play a key role in ensuring ships remain seaworthy and structurally sound at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain, repair, and modify ship structures, fittings, and equipment.
  2. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement necessary repairs.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  4. Participate in emergency response situations, including firefighting and damage control duties.
Requirements
  • Citizenship: You must be an Irish citizen or legally entitled to work in Ireland.
  • Character & Fitness: You must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards.
  • Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 39 years old.
  • Qualifications (or equivalent): HETAC Level 7 Bachelor of Science in Craft Technology (Wood) with business, National Craft Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery, National Craft Certificate in Cabinet Making/Wood Manufacturing and Finishing, National Craft Certificate in Shipwright, or national equivalents, subject to approval by the Naval Service.
