We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process after they have been repaired by our panel beaters. This role is crucial in ensuring that the surface of each vehicle is flawlessly prepped and primed, making it ready for the final paint application by our spray painters.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Vehicle Prepper in a professional auto body shop, strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and preparation techniques, and experience with seam sealer and other waterproofing applications. They will be skilled in the use of tools and equipment necessary for high-quality vehicle preparation, have attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving excellent finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and repair vehicle bodies post-collision, preparing them for priming and painting.
  • Apply primer to repaired surfaces, ensuring thorough coverage and proper preparation for painting.
  • Sand, mask, and otherwise prepare vehicle surfaces to a fine finish.
  • Apply seam sealer as required to ensure waterproofing and seamless repairs.
  • Ensure that vehicles are clean, masked, and 'gun ready' for spray painters.
  • Collaborate closely with panel beaters and spray painters to ensure smooth workflow and quality control.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Manage supplies and equipment related to the prepping process, including inventory tracking and reordering as necessary.
