Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the dispensary, working closely with the Managing Pharmacist to maintain high standards of ethics and customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Managing Pharmacist in the dispensary, receiving and recording prescriptions accurately, and providing exceptional customer service at the counter. You will also be required to handle specific over-the-counter medicine requests using the WWHAM questioning technique and make suitable recommendations, consulting the Pharmacist when necessary.
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of pharmacy procedures and be able to work effectively as part of a dynamic team. If you are a motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Managing Pharmacist in a bustling dispensary environment, adhering to established operating procedures.
- Receive, record, and assemble prescriptions accurately, notifying Pharmacists of any changes in drug therapy and potential interactions between medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service at the counter, dispensing over-the-counter medicines and other pharmacy products as needed.
- Handle specific over-the-counter medicine requests using the WWHAM questioning technique and make suitable recommendations, consulting the Pharmacist when necessary.
- Maintain the dispensary's smooth operation, including computer record-keeping and up-to-date paperwork in compliance with company protocols.
- Completion of IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies.
