Job Description

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate project engineering activities to further develop new and existing manufacturing capacity.

This role involves utilizing learnings from existing manufacturing technologies to aid in the development of new technologies, with the overall objective of developing and implementing projects on time, on budget, and to necessary Quality and Regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Process Implementation: Timely implementation of new manufacturing processes in the designated Value Stream area, including Capacity, New Products, and Cost Reduction.
  • Project Management: Developing and tracking project plans, ensuring use of stage gate or other suitable process to create, support, and manage development of project goals, schedules, and tasks.
  • New Process Concept Development: Overseeing development of concept for fully automated manufacturing systems, working with technology partners, driving proof of principle by prototyping key bottleneck areas.
  • New Product Introduction: Supporting timely introduction of any new products or product upgrades in the designated Value Stream area, including development of product costs (COGS).
  • Process Improvements: Identifying and implementing process and product improvements in the area.
  • Collaboration: Participating with Core and Extended Teams in development, execution, and monitoring of project plans and evaluation of product/process concepts.
  • Design Transfer Management: Conducting and documenting Design Transfer and Change Control implementation to move projects from design to manufacturing phase.
  • Process Qualification: Supporting qualification of new products/processes and ensuring compliance to quality standards through execution of protocols.
  • Safety/Risk Assessments: Ensuring safety compliance in the area and supporting conduction and timely closeout of risk assessments.
  • Communication: Socializing project status, identifying key project milestones, progress, and major interdependencies with stakeholders on a regular basis.

Required Skills:

  • Leadership: Leading teams or individuals using direct or indirect influence techniques to support clients' needs.
  • Project Management: Using systematic techniques to break technical projects into fundamental task requirements.
  • Process Development: Developing process concepts and alternatives and preparing formal written justifications for financial authorization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Leaving Certificate or equivalent, Primary Degree in Engineering or Science discipline.
  • Experience: 7+ years post-qualification experience in Engineering or Science environment, 3+ years Project Management experience.
