Accounts Payable Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our finance team at Trinity Care Nursing Homes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the AP function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and implementing process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.

This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and compliance expertise to manage workflows effectively and support the organisation's financial objectives.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • AP Process Management: Lead the AP function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payment processing and vendor relationship management.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating favorable payment terms and resolving issues promptly.
  • Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies, supporting internal and external audits as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with finance teams to enhance AP systems and workflows, identifying areas for process improvement and automation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in an AP management role, with a proven track record in process improvements and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, ERP systems, and financial controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
