We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Maintenance Manager to join our team at Summit Properties. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and capital expense project activities across the region.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Regional Property Manager and Director of Property Management to support the properties managed by Summit in all aspects of maintenance. This includes managing capital projects, five-year capital plans, developing scopes of work, managing vendor relations, and analyzing properties with respect to capital needs, budgeting, and maintenance.

Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality, well-maintained, and affordable rental housing to our residents. We believe in creating a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes teamwork.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance and capital expense project activities across the region.
- Support on-site maintenance teams at multiple locations, including diagnosis of problems and repairs for all maintenance areas.
- Supervise significant maintenance and capital expenditure projects from budgeting to completion.
- Regular site visits, including site walk-around with maintenance team onsite.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed, coordinating regional support for swift resolution.
- Provide onboarding and ongoing training for maintenance staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with regional vendors, manage contracts for maintenance services, and oversee vendor activities at all sites.
- Implement cost control and/or expense management across all sites.
- Identify ongoing challenges, strategize, and implement solutions.
- Coordinate with on-site teams to build annual budgets and 5-year Capital Needs Assessments.
- Attend monthly management meetings with RPM and site staff.
- Provide assistance to the Regional Manager with additional duties as needed.
