Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality psychiatric care, utilizing evidence-based practices and recovery-oriented clinical approaches.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior medical staff, promoting professional development and excellence.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  1. Registration with the Irish Medical Council as a specialist psychiatrist.
  2. A minimum of seven years post-graduation experience in psychiatry, preferably with a sub-specialized interest in neuropsychiatry or geriatric psychiatry.
  3. Proven track record of people management, leadership, and change management skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, promoting effective communication and conflict resolution.
  5. Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance principles and regulations affecting healthcare organizations.
