Healthcare Support Role

This position involves providing holistic care to residents in a nursing home setting. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work as part of a team to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered.

\
  • Deliver a high standard of care to residents, promoting their equality and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, dining, social activities, conversation, communication support and all other aspects of daily living.
  • Respect the privacy and dignity of all residents and promote their independence.
  • Provide particular attention and assist residents who have limited mobility.
  • Understand, be knowledgeable on and observe care plans and alert nurses immediately regarding any changes in the physical and mental state of the residents.
  • Report immediately any incident or potential incident which may compromise the health and safety of residents or visitors.
  • Maintain a safe environment for the residents, staff and visitors of the home.
  • Communicate effectively with all residents and their relatives/representatives.
  • Contribute to and enhance the quality of resident activities and events.
\Required Skills and Qualifications\
  • Minimum partial QQI Level 5 Award - Healthcare or equivalent.
  • Elder care experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent personal care abilities.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
