Job Title: Associate Director - Rail Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director to lead and drive rail infrastructure projects across Ireland.

This is a key opportunity for a seasoned professional to play a pivotal role in shaping Ireland's rail network by delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality rail solutions.

About the Role:
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of major rail projects in Ireland, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for rail infrastructure, signalling, electrification, and rolling stock projects.
  • Manage and develop client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, including government bodies, transport authorities, and private sector clients.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and consultants, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement project strategies that align with sustainability and carbon reduction goals in rail transport.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, Rail Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the rail industry, with a strong track record in project leadership and delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish rail infrastructure, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working on major rail projects, including heavy rail, light rail, metro, and high-speed rail.
Key Skills:
  • Strong business development skills, with experience in client engagement and bid management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in rail engineering software and project management tools.
