Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Expert to join our dynamic environmental consultancy.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering hydrology-focused services across various sectors, including energy, commercial property, housing, and manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop sampling and monitoring programmes for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
  • Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments (Stage I-III).
  • Design and manage environmental sampling and monitoring programmes.
  • Oversee fieldwork, including groundwater and surface water monitoring.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to recruitment and team development.
  • Represent the company as an expert witness in oral hearings or legal proceedings.
  • Lead or support responses to tenders and proposal development.

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years' experience in hydrology or related environmental consultancy.
  • Proficient in Flood Risk Assessment methodologies and relevant software.
  • Chartered (or working towards) status with a recognised professional body.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
