Branch Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and committed individual who is eager to build a career in the agricultural industry.

The successful candidate will report to the Branch Manager and assist with all duties required to safely and effectively carry out daily branch operations based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service
  • Provide top-quality service at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction and building trusting relationships.
  • Develop knowledge of our product range and services to offer excellent advice and support.
  • Branch Operations
  • Ensure the store and work environment are clean and well-maintained at all times.
  • Work effectively in both the shop and store yard as required.
Requirements:
  • A keen interest in the agri sector.
  • A proactive, outgoing personality with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver high-standard work in a busy environment.
Desirable Skills:
  • Proven experience or training in administrative support, including record-keeping, order processing, and inventory management.
  • Solid IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with digital systems for stock and sales management.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the capacity to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the role.
  • Experience in customer service or retail environments.
  • A full clean driving licence.
  • A forklift licence is desirable.
  • A background or qualification in agriculture or farming is an advantage.
