Executive Event Coordinator

Purpose of Job:

To ensure the comfort, satisfaction and well-being of guests and patrons are catered for in a friendly, helpful, efficient and personalized manner at all times. This role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service.

Main Duties Include:

  • Ensure smooth operation of events and banquets.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution and excellent communication.
  • Familiarize self with complaints procedure; handle complaints professionally and report to management if necessary.
  • Address guest complaints or problems promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external providers.
  • Coordinate food requirements with the kitchen, including accurate headcounts.
  • Conduct training sessions on responsible serving of alcohol for employees.
  • Manage labor costs within departmental budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide employee training and development opportunities, creating and updating training plans for new staff.
  • Prepare effective rosters aligned with business needs and shifts.
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation and reporting any maintenance issues to the relevant authority.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of facilities.
