About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Radio Radar Technician to join our team. As a Radio Radar Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical communication, radar, and electronic navigation systems onboard Naval Service vessels.
About the Team
You will be part of a diverse team that patrols and protects our territorial waters. The team works together to ensure the effectiveness of naval operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and operate critical communication, radar, and electronic navigation systems onboard Naval Service vessels and at shore-based facilities.
- Perform emergency response situations and exercises, including fire-fighting and damage control duties.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the effectiveness of naval operations.
Requirements
- Be a citizen of the Irish State or have a legal entitlement to reside and work in the State for the period of any such appointment.
- Hold a degree in Electronic Engineering, Marine Electrotechnology, or equivalent.
- Meet the required minimum standards of medical and physical fitness as assessed during the recruitment process.
