As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for performing calibrations on temperature, humidity, pressure, weight, flow, speed, conductivity, pH, and viscosity instrumentation in line with company and cGMP procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  1. Calibration and Testing: Conduct calibration activities on various instrumentation equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements.
  2. Fault Investigation and Rectification: Identify and resolve instrumentation faults arising during calibration, taking prompt corrective action to minimize downtime.
  3. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, including non-conformances and deviation reports, ensuring timely submission to relevant authorities.
  4. Equipment Management: Ensure that calibration reference standards used are up-to-date and labelled as such, notifying the Calibration Lead of pending out-of-date equipment in a timely manner.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • A time-served Electrical & Instrumentation apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous experience of calibration activities within the pharmaceutical industry, especially in Clean Rooms, or in a similarly highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving issues associated with instrumentation / measurement devices.
  • Previous experience in CMMS systems for recording calibration records – SAP / Maximo / ProCal.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
