Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a seasoned Physical Design Leader, you will be the primary technical contact for your focus area, working proactively with peers in technology and design reviews to quantify impacts of technology issues.

You will represent the CPU Cores team to executive management from a technical perspective, working closely with design teams for Area and Floorplan refinement, Timing targets, and Power targets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers
  • Developing solutions to complex technical issues and risks
  • Collaborating across functions to identify and assess technical challenges
  • Creating new design ideas and flows

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated through technical publications, presentations, trainings, and executive briefings
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience leading teams of senior engineers
  • A solid understanding of physical design tools and flows or custom circuit design
  • Knowledge of current sub-micro technologies

Preferred Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience:

  • Leading technical teams
  • Designing high-speed microprocessor architectures
  • Developing new design ideas and flows

Education and Background

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, with at least 10 years of experience in the industry.
