Regional Datacenter Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Datacenter Mechanical Regional Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and make a meaningful impact.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in data center design, engineering, and operations. They will be responsible for conducting site assessments against AWS standards, performing risk analysis, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements.
This role offers a chance to influence AWS' design and specification requirements, investigate root-cause failure analysis, and support operations teams to determine utilization, efficiency, and performance analysis on critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers and telecommunications facilities.
- Review vendor critical infrastructure designs and perform risk analysis and availability calculations for vendor owned and operated collocation data center's infrastructure.
- Support AWS Construction and Commissioning works as Resident Engineer and then partner up with Operations teams as on-site/field engineer during data center operational lifecycle.
About You
- A degree in Mechanical or related discipline.
- Cumulative 10+ years of focused experience in Data Center or Carrier-class Telecommunications design, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Aviation engineering, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) of data center/critical environment infrastructure.
- A strong understanding of data center design, engineering, and operations.
