Construction Programme Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the coordination, management, and delivery of assigned projects. This includes ensuring projects are completed profitably, safely, on time, and to an acceptable standard while maintaining and promoting strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
The contract manager will coordinate multiple live projects, ensuring effective utilisation of people and resources. They will be involved in pre-construction stages of projects and post-completion issues that may arise.
Tendering Process:
The contract manager will participate in the tendering process, including input into programme development, methodologies, quality submissions, and post-tender interviews. They will ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and submitted within the required timeframe.
Safety Management:
The contract manager will lead safety inspections and ensure that health, safety, and welfare responsibilities are managed in compliance with OHSAS 18001. They will establish and maintain a safe site for the full duration of the works.
Pre-Construction Management:
The contract manager will lead pre-construction management, including the formal discharge of pre-commencement planning conditions, obtaining relevant licences from Highways and Council Authorities, and ensuring all contract documentation, bonds, and insurances are in place prior to project commencement.
Risk Management:
The contract manager will develop risk registers and implement mitigation measures during various project stages. They will ensure that the construction team is apprised of both risks and mitigation measures.
Programme Development:
The contract manager will develop contract programmes, construction programmes, and methodologies with the assistance of the contract planner and communicate to site management. They will also develop and implement short-term programmes with key subcontractors at various project stages.
Quality Assurance:
The contract manager will monitor quality assurance and snagging systems during construction and post-completion. They will ensure that all necessary corrective actions are taken to address any quality issues.
Post-Completion Issues:
The contract manager will address post-completion issues, ensuring timely and efficient responses to defects or other matters raised by the client. They will maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
