Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Horticulturist, working closely with our clients to deliver outstanding results. As a key member of our interior landscaping team, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of care and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Visit scheduled accounts regularly to ensure the highest level of care for our clients' plants.
  • Maintain Universal Floral Quality by ensuring effective maintenance while minimizing plant replacements.
  • Keep accurate client records, logging all plant maintenance activity, including plant feeding and inventory management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Water all plants to the appropriate level, ensuring their health and well-being.
  2. Ensure plants are clean and free of dust, creating a pleasant environment for our clients.
  3. Remove discolored leaves and prune plants as necessary to maintain their appearance.
  4. Notify the manager of damaged pots and plants, taking prompt action to address any issues.
  5. Keep current client inventories up to date, accurately tracking plant stock and maintenance requirements.
  6. Maintain vehicles, tools, and machinery in good working order, adhering to company standards.
  7. Remove all rubbish and debris from planters and sites, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  8. Check and treat pest issues in compliance with company policies, preventing harm to our clients' plants.
  9. Communicate effectively with the manager regarding access issues or other concerns.
  10. Assist and support colleagues as needed, demonstrating a team-oriented approach.
  11. Report no-charge replacements to the manager, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
  12. Participate in interior and exterior planting projects as business needs dictate.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
  • Implement Health & Safety procedures outlined in our policy, prioritizing employee and client safety.
  • Monitor H&S practices, documenting checks as required by the policy.
  • Report potential safety hazards to the manager, taking proactive steps to prevent accidents.
  • Prevent the use of defective equipment that poses a safety risk, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance.
  • Resolve problems related to structure, maintenance, and equipment, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Manage specific hazards that exist during service delivery, minimizing risks to employees and clients.
  • Maintain records related to accidents, training, and H&S checks, providing valuable insights for improvement.
  • Attend all training organized by the manager, staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
