An exciting opportunity exists for a seasoned Procurement Strategist to spearhead procurement and supplier management.

The ideal candidate will have over three decades of expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Selects and negotiates with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains
  • Develops and maintains a robust supplier base through performance assessments and new proposals
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends, design, and manufacturing best practices
  • Creates and updates catalogues of material and labour costings for informed decision-making
  • Prepares and updates pricelists for the sales team to facilitate effective customer communication
  • Designs and implements an efficient stock management system for seamless monitoring and ordering
  • Oversees purchasing of all required materials and supplies based on stock levels and job requirements
  • Reviews supplier invoices to ensure accuracy against agreed quotations
  • Pursues continuous improvements, including introducing systems/software to enhance efficiency and productivity
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in procurement within the fitted furniture industry
  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry, materials, and components, with the ability to break down costs accurately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement/stock control systems
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
