Gerontology Nurse Manager Opportunity

  • Job Description:

Our Gerontology Nurse Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical leadership and direction to our nursing staff
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures that promote best practices in patient care
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the department, including staff supervision and budgeting
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and maintaining accreditation standards
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A level 8 degree in Nursing (or relevant qualification)
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • QQI Level 6 in Management
  • At least three years' experience in older person care within the last six years
  • Minimum two years' management experience
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
