- Provide strategic leadership in developing complex automation systems, ensuring alignment across functions and delivering robust, efficient manufacturing processes.
- Develop bespoke solutions based on technology roadmaps, overseeing funding proposals, initial design, proof-of-concept development, system testing, solution provider/supplier selection and management, and rollout of automation solutions to other sites.
- Lead the design activities, analysis, modification, and integration of robotics, automation technologies, and processes related to equipment, ensuring applicability to programs and products, handling high complexities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop proposals for funding of automation solutions, presenting them to internal and external audiences.
- Conduct complex technical experiments, research, and design various prototypes to achieve consensus and inform technical decisions.
- Drive improvement activities within internal or external teams, or manufacturing processes, utilizing metrics to enhance efficiency.
- Train, coach, and guide junior/senior engineers on complex technical tasks, reviewing works and directing others to supervise.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and methodologies to ensure quality engineering results.
