Occupational Therapist Community Adult Mental Health Role

This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our well-supported Community Adult Mental Health Team in Longford.

The role focuses on promoting recovery, enhancing occupational performance, and supporting individuals to live independently and meaningfully in their communities.

  • Manage a complex caseload of adults with varying mental health presentations.
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments to identify functional needs and inform care planning.
  • Design and deliver individual and group-based interventions focused on improving daily living skills, community participation, vocational goals, and social engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop tailored care plans.
  • Participate in discharge planning, transition support, and liaison with primary care and family/carers.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards and occupational therapy best practice.

Essential Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU)
  • CORU Registration (essential)
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, with at least 1 year in adult mental health.
  • Experience delivering occupational therapy in the Community.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, managing a diverse caseload
